september

I have been reading about Mary Cate and ache for Dustin and Staci not being able to have their little one at home. Hopefully all are saying their prayers for this little angel to make progress in her health.
As for our family, this is the first time in I am not sure how long that I have no kids until afternoon. I pick Jett up still, but I only have him 2 days a week for a few hours. Shannon was able to quit her job, oh yes she is engaged, to John Lowrey. Yes we like him. Anyway she picks up Kylie every day so I dont even get to see her that often, starting this week as the have moved outr of our home. I will miss them both.
It has been a hot summer, but a fast passing year. September already! It always reminds me of mom. Her birthday, and the 30th was Dwaynes.
Grandma Rodgers will be here to visit later this month.
Melissa now is working full time, but I am sure that she has shared that with you already. Be well my dear family. We love you

time flies

Well the month of December was a tough one for our family. Grandpa Rodgers died and our Brittany passed away. We had many birthdays and christmas. Made a trip to Florida to celebrate the life of our britterfly and started a brand new year. Our weather has been a challenge this past week. What do I expect. it is winter. I am a fair weathered girl. My e-mail acct. has changed. It is jewelsd143@tx.rr.com
I hope that this coming year brings great things in way of health, good deeds, love and we work to make our dreams come true/

looking forward to the trip but it sure takes a lot to get ready to be away for 10 days, with only 2 bags of luggage.
The weather has been awsome, in the 70's and we actually have leaves that are starting to turn color with the cooler weather. I have my fall pansies and decorative cabbage in the front but havent done the back yard yet.
We had our family Sunday dinner and it was Tommys birthday yesterday. Tacos seem to be a frequent pick for the family, and I like to cook. One of Melissa and Shannons neighbors came to dinner also. Some of the comments like you cook the taco shell? Freshly grated cheese? You make your own chips. It made me glad that I tried to teach the kids how to cook some things from scratch. I am blessed to enjoy cooking. Any one that has a family favorite recipe that they want to share? I am open for new ideas.
Enjoy the season, its beauty, its change and be aware of how blessed you are.

my first attempt

It has been so fun to keep in touch with family by reading their blogs. It is almost better than talking. I finally got a digital camera so I will post a few pictures when Mark gives me that lesson. He has succeeded in teaching me how to use the camera. I am so happy to have kids that help me do things I don't do well. My kids are all great. I love having them all so close. I talk to them daily and see them a few timwes a week.
I am looking forward to our trip on the 31st of the month. I will send pictures if any are good.
I have Jett here today. And I miss having Kylie daily. School gets out at 3:15 and Shannon picks her up, so I, grandma is doing less crafts without my buddy. Jett is very into numbers and letters, puzzles, and has an incredible memory. He goes to school until 10:40 every day and I pick him up. Now that it is cooler we like to go to the park and play outside a little more.
I know this is boring but I don't do much, this is my life.

Julie and Keith

This is written by Mark for her first blog. Mom and dad are going on a 10 day trip at the end of October and I wanted to create this blog for them to share pictures of the beautiful country they are going to see. Keith has won another trip through Huntington Homes(a home builder) and they will enjoy 10 days in Singapore and Thailand. Mom will do the typing from now on and check back soon to see her updates
